many of these books are based on true stories and some are views of what people think about racism and how history has changed their lives or has shown a great influence for them to write such novels... I hope you check the website out!

I personally recommend The Freedom Writers by students in Long Beach, California who have been undergoing racism, hardships and is basically a combined diary of former students of a teacher named Erin Gruwell. This heart touching novel has also turned into a movie. Please keep in mind that these anonymous authors have inappropriate use of language (swearing). Thank you again!
