Hi! I'm pretty sure you recall my last post, about the Starfish story, if you haven't already please do; I have the tendency to tell everyone that you CAN make a difference, only because it is true. I do I do believe that you hold THE POWER. In language Arts class the other day, we were reading about 'The Secret' and in 'the power' is The Law of Attraction.
http://www.free-press-release.com/news-the-secret-behind-the-secret-revealed-1250092587.html In this case, I mean, that we, me, YOU, the WORLD already behold's the power. What is the power in this case? The power to change
Make A Difference. Everyone can make a difference, but, you have to choose what you are going to do in order to make a difference, who are you going to help, where are those people, how you are going to do it, and why.

If you BELIEVE that you can make a difference, although you cannot see it, that's called FAITH. If you act with your heart, to strengthen one's HOPE- if you show someone you LOVE them, they will LOVE you. Wouldn't it be nice, if we all did? It's the ultimate dream, the arising, the achievement of WORLD PEACE.

ReplyDeleteI am a student at London South Bank University. Me and fellow peers have suffering from bullying and racism at this educational establishment. One lecturer in particular refers to black people as "you people" which implies that black people are a lower creed of people as she uses this terminology when she is being rude. I completed a formal complaint with the university management as the same lecturer in question often comes into lecture sessions intoxicated and was informed by her manager that she must be tired. I was asked by the university to drop my complaint and when I did not the treatments bestow worsened. I asked for information under the Data Protection Act 1998 and was horrified at the content of the emails trails between the White lecturers. The lectures in question had referred to me and other black students as a bag of chocolate they need to sack or bag in the bin. In other word get off the course and this was happening strategically as our grades were dropping drastically. I was a 1st Student and after I filed my formal complaints my grades within certain modules had dropped to 3rd's or fails. Please bare in mind these fails and 3rd's were given by the lecturers that stated they needed to get rid of the black students. The course director had instructed my personal tutor to bully me. I am appalled by the behaviour of these lectures but it is very hard to get justice as the lectures involved hold very high positions and the Head of faculty is very racist also. Not only that, the management team within the university hang out together as I often see them in a local pub so they are not only work colleagues but are friends also.
ReplyDeleteThere is a division in the university between lecturers also as the whites stick with the whites and other ethnics to their own. Lecturers have also filed complained relative to racism but as you will know the higher ups in management are white and do not understand the detriment effects of racism so nothing gets done.
Racism is very much alive in 2013 and people choose to ignore it while a large number of people suffer from it on a daily basis. It needs to stop.
Thanks
