Black Chinese Girl suffers Racism in China

this video is from: http://boards.ign.com/teh_vestibule/b5296/187957582/p1/

This is a video in which I believe truly shows what I mean by racism is a global issue because this is a video about a girl who is a Chinese half Black American. I do believe that this video will stand as meaningful in some way in our hearts.

RELATION TIME!!!

"-Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate

I think another reason for terrorism relates to the global issues called Racism."

Death Cab for Cutie - A Lack of Color

Hi everyone! I was on youtube searching for videos to post, that are related to racism and then when I made a typo in searching Black or white and accidentally wrote lack and when I meant to type in or I typed in of and LACK OF COLOURS was listed in the suggestions list so I said that is related, so I decided to post it... I hope you enjoy it! I personally thoguht it was ok, but it didn't really make sense when I read over the lyrics, the title made sense just not the words, hmm... please comment and say what you think.

LYRICS
And when I see you
I really see you upside down
But my brain knows better
It picks you up and turns you around
Turns you around
Turns you around

If you feel discouraged
When there's a lack of color here
Please don't worry lover
It's really bursting at the seams
Absorbing everything
The spectrum's A to Z

This is fact, not fiction
For the first time in years
All the girls in every girlie magazine
Can't make me feel any less alone
I'm reaching for the phone

To call at 7:03
And on your machine, I slur a plea
For you to come home
But I know it's too late
I should have given you a reason to stay
Given you a reason to stay
Given you a reason to stay
Given you a reason to stay

This is fact, not fiction
For the first time in years...

My interpretation

LYRICS
And when I see you
I really see you upside down

But my brain knows better

It picks you up and turns you around

Turns you around

Turns you around

If you feel discouraged

When there's a lack of color here

(If you are discouraged by the racism, and when there is no color...)

Please don't worry lover

Absorbing everything

The spectrum's A to Z

This is fact, not fiction

For the first time in years

All the girls in every girlie magazine

Can't make me feel any less alone

I'm reaching for the phone

To call at 7:03

And on your machine, I slur a plea

For you to come home

But I know it's too late

I should have given you a reason to stay

Given you a reason to stay

Given you a reason to stay

Given you a reason to stay

This is fact, not fiction

For the first time in years..

(I think that for the first time in years, the truth is that we are losing color, and the respect that we deserve for it.)

Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder - Ebony and Ivory

Above is a song by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. I truly am amazed by Stevie Wonder. He is an African American and he was born blind. He lived his life in racism and he didn't even know that he was 'black'. I believe that he is truly an inspiration to many, he knows how to play the piano and he has a great voice. The lyrics of this song is very meaningful. Please do take your time to listen! Sorry if there is any inconvenience... but, thank you! I appreciate it!!! :D

Here is another attempted video to Ebony and Ivory, since the other link apparently is not working. If it is.. then here is just another one.. sorry!

Live Together In Perfect Harmony
Side By Side On My Piano Keyboard
Oh Lord, Why Don't We?

That People Are The Same Wherever You Go
There Is Good And Bad In Ev'ryone,
We Learn To Live,
We Learn To Give Each Other
What We Need To Survive Together Alive.

LYRICS
I Took My Baby
On A Saturday Bang
Boy Is That Girl With You
Yes We're One And The Same

Now I Believe In Miracles
And A Miracle
Has Happened Tonight

But, If
You're Thinkin'
About My Baby
It Don't Matter If You're
Black Or White

They Print My Message
In The Saturday Sun
I Had To Tell Them
I Ain't Second To None

And I Told About Equality
An It's True
Either You're Wrong
Or You're Right

But, If
You're Thinkin'
About My Baby
It Don't Matter If You're
Black Or White

I Am Tired Of This Devil
I Am Tired Of This Stuff
I Am Tired Of This Business
Sew When The
Going Gets Rough
I Ain't Scared Of
Your Brother
I Ain't Scared Of No Sheets
I Ain't Scare Of Nobody
Girl When The
Goin' Gets Mean

[L. T. B. Rap Performance]
Protection
For Gangs, Clubs
And Nations
Causing Grief In
Human Relations
It's A Turf War
On A Global Scale
I'd Rather Hear Both Sides
Of The Tale
See, It's Not About Races
Just Places
Faces
Where Your Blood
Comes From
Is Where Your Space Is
I've Seen The Bright
Get Duller
I'm Not Going To Spend
My Life Being A Color

[Michael]
Don't Tell Me You Agree With Me
When I Saw You Kicking Dirt In My Eye

But, If
You're Thinkin' About My Baby
It Don't Matter If You're Black Or White

I Said If
You're Thinkin' Of
Being My Baby
It Don't Matter If You're Black Or White

I Said If
You're Thinkin' Of
Being My Brother
It Don't Matter If You're
Black Or White

Ooh, Ooh
Yea, Yea, Yea Now
Ooh, Ooh
Yea, Yea, Yea Now

It's Black, It's White
It's Tough For You
To Get By
It's Black , It's White, Whoo

It's Black, It's White
It's Tough For You
To Get By
It's Black , It's White, Whoo

Racism in History

Please do check this Holocaust-link provided below

Books to look at...

Below is a website of books about racism...
http://www.ratbags.com/rsoles/books/racism.htm

many of these books are based on true stories and some are views of what people think about racism and how history has changed their lives or has shown a great influence for them to write such novels... I hope you check the website out!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also below is an online book, for your interest... I do recommend checking this book out.

I personally recommend The Freedom Writers by students in Long Beach, California who have been undergoing racism, hardships and is basically a combined diary of former students of a teacher named Erin Gruwell. This heart touching novel has also turned into a movie. Please keep in mind that these anonymous authors have inappropriate use of language (swearing). Thank you again!

What IS racism?

What IS racism?
  1. Racism is HATRED and discrimination based on one's race and ethnic background.
This is a problem because people deserve to be treated EQUALLY!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj1Z1hq7FiB-cMxqZ0OLavaMizfRG5F6YC_ZAiKeR24wN3XLpCgeUAIwwYnPK_7hl1QB3qgtwHrvbvUTDu7xahZjYtD00p68yDFVMaFuj7t8JKEX1jdWKfmGcCx2eXUWQ82RbNn4-ye9I/s1600/balance-scale_vg1q.jpg

Racism is also a type of discrimination. This is considered as bullying and
CAN BE STOPPED!

How can we help stop and prevent discrimination?

If everyone tries to stop making fun of one another and their cultures, making and spreading jokes about races, color, and ethnic background, the world would be such a better place! Just by simply reading this blog, post or anything about preventing racism and following what it says, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Don't spend your time gossiping about someone's turban or someone's color... tell these people who are telling you jokes to STOP! Jokes can be funny but think about the person or even people who are are making fun of.
~Dg-racism
People may look different, because of their colour. But deep inside you can see that they are beautiful... INSIDE.
